The hot new duo Miles Schon and Michael Shapiro have collaborated in a fiery new project called “Many Miles Away” and launched their debut single and video, “Can You Feel It” via Tribeca Records. “Can You Feel It” is a sexy pop/rock sensation which is a prelude to their album also called “Many Miles Away” and is set to release later this year.
If the name Miles Schon seems familiar then by all means google it, Miles was raised in the confines of the musical family and is a self-taught guitarist who’s talent and brilliance is quickly adding him to the limelight of greatness. Miles has played with icons including members of Journey, Grammy Winners Will Champlin, Jonathan Cain, Scott Page from Pink Floyd, Supertramp and Toto, Stephen Perkins of Jane’s Addiction, Kenny Olson From Kid Rock and a cascade of others. As a guitarist, he is recognized for his solo performances, his soulful blues, and his fiery riffs.
Michael Shapiro is the mastermind of the Vegas Phenomena “Reckless in Vegas”, a band that brought back the “Sin” to “Sin City”, with modern versions of songs by Frank Sinatra, Cher, Johnny Cash, Dean Martin, and others, with Vegas showgirls and the excitement to go with it. He has played with greats such as Bruce Springsteen, Great White, The Romantics, and Cheap Trick. He is also a self-taught musician with a vocal ability to die for.
The video for “Can You Feel It” is an artistic adventure done in black and white and showcasing the talent of the duo. The song rocks! It’s captivating and addictive. The guitar work by Miles screams with brilliance and the vocals are spot on. The song has commercial value and is a relevant contribution for today’s music industry. I’m personally excited to see what the “Many Miles Away” comes up with next and in the future……
