Chrishell Stause‘s “clingy” and “demanding” behavior was a reported factor in her recent split from G Flip.
Days after the ex-couple confirmed their split with breakupstatements last week, an insider has revealed that the 33-year-old nonbinary Australian musician had grown “fed up” with the 45-year-old Selling Sunset alum’s antics in the months leading up to their split, and noted that the two of them fought “a lot” before calling it quits.
“[G] didn’t like the drama,” the source toldDaily Mail on October 29, adding that they had been dealing with“clingy” and “demanding” Chrishell for “over a year.”
According to the report, things between Chrishell and G, who began dating in 2022, took a turn for the worse after Chrishell exited Selling Sunset after nine seasons and failed toland a “big reality TV show” like she “felt she deserved.”
“She wanted all of G Flip’s time and attention. It just became all about Chrishell. She wanted to be catered to. But G Flip has their own career,” the insider explained. “[G] got really fed up [with Chrishell and] couldn’t take it anymore.”
Still, as noted by Page Six, “people who know about them did not see” the “shocking” breakup “coming at all,” as Chrishell and G “were so happy and seemed so in love.”
Around the same time, another sourcewho spoke to TMZ claimed G simply fell out of love with Chrishell, who was left blindsided and “heartbroken” by the breakup.
Meanwhile, someone else told PEOPLE that the “distance is what really drove the two of them apart.”
“The long flights, going weeks without seeing each other, and time difference took its toll,” the source noted. “They both wanted to have kids, but they also both didn’t want to uproot their lives for the other … It was hard to dream about a life together, when they both had that dream on different continents.”
In their breakup statement following their split from Chrishell, G said they would “always love her.”
“We will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply … My head [and] heart are feeling very heavy right now and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time,” G wrote.
As for Chrishell, she said in an emotional video, “I’m kind of going through it. But I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing. And this sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us.”
