Lady Gaga Welcomes Her First Child With Michael Polansky

LGBTQ Entertainment News

Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have reportedly welcomed their first child together.

Page Six confirmed the news Friday, marking an exciting new chapter for the famously private couple. Gaga and Polansky have not publicly announced the arrival, and details including the baby’s name, sex and date of birth remain unknown.

The news may surprise Little Monsters, but Gaga has never kept her hopes of becoming a parent a secret. In recent interviews, the singer and actor has spoken candidly about wanting to build a family while continuing to pursue the music and performances that have defined her career.

Motherhood Was Gaga’s Dream Role

During a March 2025 interview with The New York Times, Gaga shared that she was ready to become a parent after previously feeling uncertain about motherhood.

“I’m excited to be a mom,” she said at the time. “I used to have a lot of apprehension about it.”

Gaga also explained that she wanted any future children to have the freedom to form their own identities outside of her fame. The singer said her priority would be giving them space to discover who they are without feeling pressured into a life they did not choose.

Later that year, she made her hopes even clearer during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“What I really want is to be a mom,” Gaga said. “That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

It looks like she landed the part.

Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, first became romantically linked in 2019 and made their relationship official on Instagram in early 2020. Polansky is an entrepreneur and philanthropist who has largely stayed away from the spotlight, though he has regularly joined Gaga at major events.

The couple became engaged in 2024, with Gaga publicly referring to Polansky as her fiancé while attending the Paris Olympics that summer. He has since become more involved in her creative world, earning writing credits on several songs from her 2025 album, “Mayhem,” including “Disease.”

Gaga previously described their relationship as a steady, supportive partnership, and Polansky has accompanied her through major career moments, premieres, and award shows.

The two have been noticeably absent from the public eye in recent months. Gaga was last photographed with a fan in Northern California in August after completing the Mayhem Ball earlier in the year. The global tour ran for nearly nine months and included 86 performances.

For now, Gaga and Polansky appear to be keeping their newest role entirely to themselves. After years of telling fans how much she wanted to become a mother, the pop icon is finally beginning that chapter on her own terms.
