“American Horror Story” veterans John Carroll Lynch and Mat Fraser will reprise their “Freak Show” roles as Twisty the Clown and Paul the Illustrated Seal, respectively, in Season 13, Deadline has learned.
The hit horror anthology has also added Mena Suvari (American Beauty) and Berto Colon (“The Night Agent”) to its cast. The latter will reportedly play Joe the Doorman, who is employed by Jessica Lange’s character.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, “American Horror Story” Season 13 is currently in production for a September premiere on FX. Plot details are under wraps.
FX teased, “American Horror Story has redefined the genre with various installments featuring a creepy murder house, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel, and the apocalypse itself.
“Which iconic horrors will return to haunt the hallowed halls of 13 and what new terrors await? Light your candles, draw your pentagrams, and prepare for a supreme surprise.”
Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson are confirmed to reprise their “American Horror Story: Coven” characters Madison Montgomery and Cordelia Goode.
The cast also includes Lange, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates,Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Ariana Grande, Joey Pollari, Paul Anthony Kelly, and cult filmmaker John Waters.
Murphy, Falchuk, Ned Martel, Charlie Carver, Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt, and Tim Minear serve as executive producers.
Produced by 20th Television, “American Horror Story” has amassed over 100 Emmy nominations and 17 wins since its launch in 2011.
