“My grandson, in the middle of the movie, like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman,’” he recalled. “She a woman.”
And in response, Snoop simply said at the time, “Hey man, watch the movie.”
But in reality, he was thinking to himself, “Oh s–t. I didn’t come here for this s–t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”
After days of receiving online backlash for his comments, however, Snoop insisted that he’s an ally.
“I was just caught off guard and had no answer for my grandsons,” he commented on a Hollywood Unlocked clip of T.S. Madison calling him out. “All my gay friends [know] what’s up, they been calling me with love. My bad for not knowing the answers for a 6-yr-old. Teach me how to learn. I’m not perfect.”
E! News has reached out to Snoop’s rep for further comment and has not heard back.
