Christa B. Allen on Leaving Cult, Romance With Leader

Christa B. Allen is reflecting on a shocking chapter in her life.

The Revenge alum revealed she was formerly a member of a cult led by her then-boyfriend, alleging that the romance caused her significant turmoil.

In a video posted on her TikTok page Aug. 27, Christa spun around a grassy lawn in a beige sweater and skirt along with brown cowboy boots, but juxtaposed the carefree imagery with onscreen text reading, “How it feels rebuilding your life after being in love with a charismatic wealthy cult leader who burned it to the ground.”

From there, the 33-year-old—whose acting credits also include 13 Going on 30 and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past—offered more details about her past affiliation with the unnamed sect in the caption of the post.

“Let me be very clear,” she wrote, “nobody can burn down your life unless you give them access to it. That’s the part I’ve had to own.”
