Wendy Stuart will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with featured guest Matthew LaBanca.

TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.

TriVersity Talk! Is part of TriVersity’s ICARE Initiative. ICARE stands for Increasing Community Awareness through Relevant Education. ICARE Programs are generously funded by The Greater Pike Community Foundation.

Matthew LaBanca performed on Broadway in the original companies of Young Frankenstein, White Christmas, and A Christmas Carol. His self-penned solo show Good Enough played Off-Broadway at the United Solo Festival, winning the festival’s Best Musical Award in 2014. Matthew’s TV credits include Broad City, Live from Lincoln Center, and the upcoming season of Severance on Apple+. In addition to performing, Matthew is a proud NYC elementary music teacher at PS151 in Woodside, Queens.

For years, Matthew worked as a musician and music teacher within the Diocese of Brooklyn and was controversially terminated after he wed his husband in 2021. His firing led to a media firestorm and was the inspiration for his newest solo show, Communion, which was recently given a developmental production at the cell theatre in NYC.
