A new image of Wonder Woman from a scene in the Justice League Snyder Cut has hit social media courtesy of Zack Snyder himself. When it was first released theatrically in November of 2017, Justice League wasn’t the movie that Snyder had originally planned, having undergone major reshoots following his departure. After a history-making push by fans to see Snyder’s original cut of the film released to the world, the Snyder Cut is set to finally arrive on HBO Max this coming March.
The official trailer for the movie was released back in August during DC FanDome, and solidified what was already a very clear distinction between the two versions. With the Snyder Cut’s release now just months away, fans can expect the marketing for it to begin to kick into high gear very soon. However, with the Snyder Cut’s home stretch in sight, New Year’s Eve has brought a bit of teasing.

Snyder‘s new image, released on Twitter, shows Gal Gadot as Diana outside of some kind of stone structure. Judging by Diana’s outfit in the image, this could be related to the scene in the film in which she discovers a mural of Darkseid. Snyder captioned the image “Get ready 2021.“
This isn’t the only new image of Wonder Woman to arrive online in time for New Year’s Eve, with Snyder Cut advocate Fiona Zheng also releasing one showing Diana battling Steppenwolf. Both images also arrived as the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse hashtag was trending on Twitter. This is in reference to Snyder’s originally planned five-film arc, which was canceled after his departure and the reshooting of Justice League.
Following the theatrical release of Justice League, Snyder heavily teased his version of the film with images on social media, largely in black and white. This gradually pulled back the curtain on just how little Snyder’s cut resembled the version released in theaters. Wonder Woman has been at the center of some of Snyder’s major teases, including the revelation that she decapitated Steppenwolf in the climactic battle.
With the Snyder Cut’s release growing steadily closer, anticipation for it is through the roof, and many fans clearly have their fingers crossed that it can lead to Snyder’s unrealized DCEU story being revived. Only time will tell if those hopes come to pass. However, with the Justice League Snyder Cut on the way at last, DC fans are in for one wild ride in 2021.
