The Hunting Wives Season 2 will premiere Nov. 26 on Netflix, giving us something extra spicy to serve alongside the Thanksgiving turkey. Newly released first-look photos tease more secrets, seduction, murder and extremely questionable decision-making going down in Maple Brook.
Sophie and Margo Are Back in Each Other’s Orbit
When Season 2 begins, Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Akerman) are reportedly on the outs. Bless their hearts, did they really think staying away from each other was an option?
Old secrets and dangerous new enemies will soon push the women back together, and the first-look photos suggest their chemistry is still hotter than a Texas sidewalk in July. One intimate image shows Margo caressing Sophie’s face as they lie together in bed. Whatever trouble is coming, at least the sapphic yearning remains alive and well.
The new season will also follow Jed Banks (Dermot Mulroney) as he runs for governor, while Deputy Salazar (Karen Rodriguez) investigates another major case. Sophie is even spotted beside the same car that made quite an impact during the Season 1 finale. If you know, you know.
New Ladies, New Cowboys and New Trouble
A fresh group of characters is moseying into Maple Brook, including John Stamos as Chase Brylan.
Dale Dickey joins the cast as Zelda Moffitt, with Cam Gigandet playing Gentle John Moffitt. Kim Matula will appear as Nadia Kelly, while Alex Fitzalan takes on the role of Lincoln Trout.
The photos also show Callie (Jaime Ray Newman) getting awfully cozy with Nadia. We do not know exactly what is happening there, but our gay little eyes are watching respectfully.
Deputy Salazar is also seen investigating what appears to be another crime scene. Graham (Evan Jonigkeit), meanwhile, has grown a mustache. Frankly, we are not sure which development is more concerning.
Welcome Back to Maple Brook
Based on May Cobb’s novel, The Hunting Wives follows Sophie, an East Coast transplant whose move to East Texas brings her into the orbit of the glamorous and dangerously magnetic Margo.
Sophie quickly becomes consumed by Margo’s world of wealthy women, secret affairs, loaded guns and well-manicured murder. What begins as fascination turns into a full-blown obsession, leaving Sophie caught in a web of desire and danger that she may not actually want to escape.
Akerman previously celebrated the start of Season 2 production by sharing a selfie with Snow and Newman.
“Hold on to your wigs…we have officially started shooting season 2!!!” she wrote on Instagram. “And y’all are not gonna be disappointed.”
