Queen Camilla is sharing how she and King Charles III have navigated his health battle.

More than two years after Buckingham Palace announced the monarch’s cancer diagnosis, Camilla spoke about their journey in a short film published by Maggie’s—a charity she visited which provides support to cancer patients—on Aug. 19.

“I remember coming to see a Maggie’s just after the king being diagnosed,” she shared in the video stemming from her 2024 trip, per Reuters. “Nobody could say anything at the time, that was quite difficult.”

Though Camilla, 79, wanted to share her thoughts openly, at the time, they were still keeping the matter private.

“I almost said something but, you know, I felt that it wasn’t the time to say,” she continued. “[I] looked at everybody who was suffering and all the relations, and I think it made me realize even more how important these places were. I was just longing to let it out but obviously I couldn’t.”

Elsewhere in the film, which marks Maggie’s 30th anniversary according to the outlet, Camilla also shared how focused Charles was on to continue working despite his struggles.
