Review: “Malami Remix” — Avohee Avoher x LUV Foundation (UK)

Cover Story, Music

Some dance records are built for the charts. Others are built for the moment when a room collectively disappears into rhythm. “Malami Remix” by Avohee Avoher and LUV Foundation (UK) manages to do both.

Reworking Avohee Avoher’s already acclaimed “Malami,” this new version expands the original track’s hypnotic DNA into something even larger, deeper, and more globally immersive. Afro House percussion, cinematic electronic production, tribal grooves, and ethereal Middle Eastern textures collide in a way that feels sophisticated rather than forced — sensual without ever becoming predictable.

What immediately stands out is the scale of the production. This is not minimalist club music designed to function as background noise. “Malami Remix” is dense, layered, and emotionally alive. The percussion pulses with late-night urgency while atmospheric melodies drift above the rhythm like heat rising off pavement at sunrise after an all-night set.

Avohee Avoher’s classical foundation continues to separate his work from much of today’s electronic landscape. Beneath the hypnotic groove structure lies real compositional discipline. The track evolves patiently, introducing textures gradually, allowing tension to breathe instead of relying on formulaic drops or cheap festival tricks.

LUV Foundation (UK) proves to be the ideal collaborator, pushing the track toward a more expansive global dance identity without sacrificing its underground soul. The result feels equally suited for beach festivals in Ibiza, underground rooms in Berlin, or massive late-night festival stages somewhere between Dubai and Tulum.

The original “Malami” already generated serious momentum, climbing to #4 on the Traxsource Electro House Chart through organic DJ support while earning Beatport recognition in Best New MainStage. “Malami Remix” doesn’t simply capitalize on that success — it elevates it.

What makes the record especially compelling is how difficult it is to pin down geographically. The track feels connected to multiple musical worlds simultaneously: Afrobeat rhythm, Middle Eastern atmosphere, European electronic sophistication, and cinematic orchestral sensibility all coexist naturally inside the same sonic space.

Avohee Avoher continues to emerge as one of the more intriguing names in modern electronic music — anonymous, classically trained, and increasingly impossible to categorize. Together with LUV Foundation (UK), he has created a remix that feels less like a rework and more like the evolution of an entirely new global dance language.
