French label Dior names Jonathan Anderson as new menswear head

Northern Ireland-based fashion designer Jonathon Anderson has joined French luxury fashion brand Christian Dior as the creative director of its menswear segment. He stepped down as the creative director of Spanish fashion house Loewe after 11 years. He succeeds Kim Jones.

The designer known for his gender-fluid fashion announced his appointment through an Instagram post captioned ‘Dior’ with a clover leaf.

Northern Ireland designer Jonathan Anderson has been named the new creative director of menswear at Christian Dior, succeeding Kim Jones.
He leaves Loewe after 11 years and will debut the Dior Homme Summer 2026 collection in Paris in June.
Known for gender-fluid designs, Anderson is a two-time Designer of the Year awardee and founder of his namesake label.

Anderson is designing the Dior Homme Summer 2026 collection, set to be unveiled in Paris on June 27 this year, as per media reports.

He studied at the London College of Fashion and started his professional journey in the marketing department at Prada. In 2008, he launched his namesake label, and in 2013, he took on the role of creative director at Loewe.

Anderson is behind several iconic looks, such as Rihanna’s outfit for the 2023 Super Bowl half-time show and Ariana Grande’s gown at the 2024 Met Gala.

Over the years, he has received numerous prestigious accolades, including back-to-back Designer of the Year titles at the 2024 Fashion Awards.
