One of Beyoncé’s new songs, “Texas Hold ’Em,” has landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, Billboard reports. She is now the first Black woman to ever hold the spot, Variety notes. The superstar’s “16 Carriages,” released simultaneously, also charted at No. 9 on the Hot Country Songs chart. Both songs are Beyoncé’s first entries on the chart.

“Texas Hold ’Em” has also been serviced to country radio, and has since become Beyoncé’s first entry on the Country Airplay chart, too, debuting at No. 54. Last year, Tracy Chapman became the first Black woman to hit No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart as a sole songwriter with Luke Combs’ cover of her 1988 song “Fast Car.”

“Texas Hold ’Em” and “16 Carriages” appear on Beyoncé’s forthcoming eighth solo studio album, Act II, set for release on March 29. The singer revealed the news in a teaser video on her Instagram during the broadcast of a Verizon commercial she appeared in that aired during the Super Bowl LVIII. Act II, the second part of a planned trilogy, follows her 2022 album, Renaissance. The Renaissance world tour was captured in a concert film that played in theaters worldwide.
