Ashley Michelle and Manuel from 90 Day Fiancé have a bright future ahead of them despite their relationship troubles in season 10. Ashley is a professional witch from New York and Manuel is a 34-year-old construction worker from Ecuador. Ashley had a dream when she was in her undergrad in which she was in the jungle, working with the Earth. She spoke to her biology teacher about it. Ashley learned that her teacher planned on going to Ecuador. Ashley volunteered to come along. It’s how she ended up in Ecuador and met her now husband-to-be, Manuel, for their whirlwind romance to begin.

Manuel had been hesitant to leave his country. Ashley convinced him he’d be able to secure a job in America. He left Puyo without knowing Ashley believed in the occult. Manuel had also not been truthful to his family about Ashley’s existence. Ashley also found out Manuel had relatives in New York and started to believe that if they didn’t get married, Manuel had no intention of going back to Ecuador. Manuel has, so far, shown no interest in Ashley. Their 90 Day Fiancé season 10 storyline reveals how different they are. Ashley’s suspicions about Manuel could be true, which means she’s in for a surprise if he leaves her heartbroken.

Ashley & Manuel’s Relationship Was Doomed From The Start

Ashley met Manuel in the very first year of her being in Ecuador. Ashley met Manuel on New Year’s Eve over 10 years ago. Manuel had come up to Ashley and asked her to dance with him. She was immediately attracted to his “beautiful, dark skin” and his beautiful, bouncy, dark hair. She described his skin color as a mixture of peanut butter and cinnamon. Ashley and Manuel had been inseparable since they met and they got engaged within a week of meeting. She thought it was being caught up in the moment and being young and dumb in love. Ashley came back to America, and they tried to have a long-distance relationship.

Things, however, failed to work out. Manuel and Ashley spent seven years apart. She had gotten out of a long-term relationship when Manuel reached out to her by text. Ashley confessed Manuel was a “f**kboy.” However, he had also always been her “what-if man.” Ashley bought a ticket to go and see him in September 2020. She went across the world to reunite with her lover. He picked her up from the airport and they headed to their Airbnb to quarantine together. Ashley was sitting on the bed as Manuel whisked out a box with a ring. He asked her to marry him again.

Ashley and Manuel hardly spent any time together. They didn’t get to know each other at all. Ashley is trying to understand her partner better while he has 90 days on the calendar left to marry her. Ashley did know that Manuel preferred her to be a religious Catholic woman. Ashley, meanwhile, makes a living as a tarot reader and astrologer. Ashley is supporting Manuel with the money she earns as a practicing witch. Manuel is greedy and is eyeing the same money to send back to his folks in Ecuador. Ashley is trying to make her relationship work come what may, but she fails to realize it stands on shaky ground.

Biggest Red Flags In Manuel & Ashley’s Relationship

Manuel didn’t like that Ashley’s bedroom had no door and her dog slept with her on her bed. He threatened that he would sleep on the couch if Rico Suave slept on the bed. Ashley hadn’t told Manuel that she was a witch. He believed witches were evil, so he didn’t agree that Ashley could be one. As per Manuel, witches hurt people. He asked why Ashley couldn’t use a spell to bring her ex-boyfriend back if she was really a witch. Manuel didn’t tell his family he was moving to the U.S., so telling them about his getting married to Ashley was out of the question.

Manuel claimed his teenage sons wouldn’t have allowed him to leave. He told his mom he was going to another town for work. Ashley admitted she was bothered by Manuel’s secretive side. She feared Manuel’s kids wouldn’t know what she was like. “Do they even know I’m about to be a stepmom?” Ashley asked. Ashley took Manuel to a couple’s therapist in a later episode to speak about their disconnect. Ashley felt like the “woman on the side of his life.” Manuel called the therapist a clown. Manuel also expected her to send $300 to his family every month. Ashley felt disrespected by Manuel. They only got along when they had sex.

Manuel & Ashley Got Married

Shockingly, their not seeing eye to eye wasn’t an issue when it came to them getting married. Manuel walked away from all conversations where his red flags were brought up. He insulted Ashley in front of her family. Even the trailer for 90 Day Fiancé season 10 showed Ashley’s sister telling her about how people don’t want to be around Manuel, with her mother asking Ashley if she wanted to spend the rest of her life with a man like him. Ashley wondered if she was making the right move by marrying him. However, according to StyleCaster, Ashley and Manuel are married. Ashley even wished Manuel a happy birthday on November 17, 2033, by sharing a cute selfie.

Manuel & Ashley Already Filming New Spin-Off In November 2023

Reddit user u/ThatGreekGuy shared a picture captioned “More filming in Rochester tonight” on November 16, 2033. The photo was clicked in the dark showing a couple getting out of a car with another car trailing them and a camera crew waiting on the side. “Camera crew whipped in out of nowhere, as per usual. Even have a drone set up for aerial shots. More like 390 day fiancé since they’ve been filming since summer 2022,” the Redditor added. Ashley and Manuel’s filming currently suggests they could have been cast in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 after 90 Day Fiancé season 10.

90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
