‘RHONJ’ recap: Teresa warns Luis ‘cameras are on’ during phone call about Melissa, Joe

Reality TV

Teresa Giudice didn’t want the cameras to know that Luis Ruelas wasn’t going to invite Joe and Melissa Gorga to a pre-wedding group dinner.

During Wednesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Ruelas called his soon-to-be bride — who was in the car with daughters Milania and Audriana — to ask who she wanted to invite to a pre-rehearsal dinner get-together at Avra, a “beautiful” New York City restaurant.

Among those invited were co-stars Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs — who Giudice previously had a rocky relationship with — as well as their significant others.

“Just to put the invite out to all of them — except Melissa and Joe? I’m not inviting them but —” Ruelas said before Giudice, 50, cut him off.

“You know the cameras are on, we’re filming, right?” she asked her soon-to-be husband before he simply replied, “oh s–t OK.”

The “RHONJ” O.G. promptly took her fiancé off speaker phone and held the phone up to her ear as her younger daughters stayed quiet.

“You have to invite everyone, you can’t just do some and not the others,” Giudice told Ruelas while looking at Milania, 17, in the passenger seat.

The couple quickly ended the conversation before Giudice turned to her daughters to reassure them that their uncle and aunt will be “invited” to the pre-rehearsal dinner night out.

“I don’t like to tell the kids everything that’s going on with my brother and Melissa unless I have to tell them,” Giudice admitted in a confessional.

“There’s no reason to tell them anything right now. The wedding’s a week away – I’m so close to my happily ever after.”

Earlier on in the episode, Melissa, 44, and Joe, 48, also acknowledged their strained relationship and shared a similar sentiment on keeping the peace until the big day.

Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’

“I’m doing everything in my power to keep it at a peaceful place just to get by until the wedding, so that Joe can go to the wedding, so that I can go to the wedding, so that my kids are at the wedding, for the normalcy of a family member getting married,” Melissa said in a confessional.

However, Melissa added that after the wedding, she’s “done” and wants “off the ride.”

Unfortunately, the peace didn’t last long because the Gorgas ended up ditching Giudice and Ruelas’ extravagant nuptials on Aug. 6.

Sources told Page Six that Melissa learned of a rumor about her cheating on Joe a few nights before Giudice’s big day, and that ultimately led to them not attending.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
