Priyanka Chopra was one sentimental mama during her recent return to the motherland.
After all, it was the first time the Citadel star and her husband, Nick Jonas, brought their daughter Malti Marie to India. “I was very emotional,” Priyanka recalled of the milestone visit during an April 28 appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show with Julia Cunningham. “It was so magical.”
The trio was joined by Priyanka’s mom Madhu Chopra, who happily toured Malti around their family home—including the office where the actress’ late father once worked.
“My mother was very excited about taking her to her house,” the 40-year-old shared, “showing her where my dad’s desk was.”
Malti’s inaugural trip to Mumbai also included a visit to the Gateway of India and a delicious family feast. “She was traveling all around the city,” Priyanka gushed, adding that her 15-month-old was “eating all kinds of Indian food with my mom and my friends.”
So, what did Malti think of the whole adventure? As Priyanka noted, “She loved, loved, loved India.”
