“At the helm of the highly confidential operation is Herbert “Magic” Williams (Ernie Hudson),” according to NBC, “a no-nonsense career military man who has to answer to his bosses who won’t be happy once they learn about the breach of protocol.”
The character played by Hudson, best known for his role as Winston in 1984’s Ghostbusters, appeared in a season three episode in 1990 played by actor Christopher Kirby.
Quantum Leap, which also stars Nanrisa Lee and Mason Alexander Park, premieres September 19 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
