Fall Guys Season 5 Is Jungle-Themed & Releases Next Week

After the community quickly figured out the latest social media puzzle, developer Mediatonic confirmed Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 5 will revolve around a jungle theme, which players can venture into next week. Season 5’s late July release will, naturally, mark the end of Fall Guy’s fourth season.

Mediatonic unleashed Season 4 on March 22, introducing futuristic levels, fresh costumes, and a litany of gameplay changes and improvements. Players were notably treated to new rounds like Skyline Stumble and Basketfall, the latter of which took place in a low-gravity space. The studio elevated the season to another level with 4.5, adding two extra rounds, 55 variations, and cross-platform matchmaking between PC and PlayStation 4. Fall Guys‘ currently running season of content boasted a fair few crossover events as well, bringing characters from Among Us, Tron, and Bomberman into the fold.

According to a recent post on the game’s official Twitter page, Season 5 of Fall Guys will boast a jungle theme. Mediatonic additionally confirmed a July 20 launch date for the content drop, whose finer details presently remain a mystery. Fall Guys Season 5’s need-to-know information won’t remain under wraps for long, however. On Monday, July 19 at 1:00 PM BST/5:00 AM PDT, the developer plans to host a Season 5 Reveal stream on the Fall Guys YouTube channel. The stream should showcase all-new costumes, features, and levels. Fans may also want to tune in to see a discussion featuring the development crew.

Given the sheer amount of content packed into previous Fall Guys seasons, fans are in for a real treat come July 20. And the mid-season updates and crossover events of the past also suggests Season 5 will give active users plenty of reasons to regularly sign in.

Fall Guys came to PC and PS4 nearly a year ago and hit the stratosphere overnight. Players especially took to the charming bean-like characters and the fun obstacle courses that made up the overarching gameplay loop. Not everyone has been able to experience the phenomenon, though, namely Nintendo Switch and Xbox users. While Fall Guys was originally slated for a summer 2021 release on these particular platforms, a delay postponed each port indefinitely. Mediatonic cited a desire to finish work-in-progress Fall Guys features as reason for the delay.
