Jax Taylor Says Vanderpump Rules Editors Did “A Good Job Making Him Look Bad,” He Was “Checked Out” For 3 Seasons, And He Quit Because He Didn’t Want To Fake Working AT SUR; Wants To Do New Show With Fellow Alums

Jax Taylor

Very few people actually quit a Bravo reality TV show. Usually, they are afforded the courtesy of putting out some nonsensical statement about “looking forward to future projects” that never actually come to fruition to save face. However, most people don’t just quit these shows. The Bravo paychecks and the endorsement deals that come from the exposure are a lot to give up.

In June 2020, Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni for their racist behaviors. In response, some people wanted to know why Jax Taylor wasn’t included in that list of firings. Faith Stowers accused Jax’s wife Brittany Cartwright of using racial slurs.

Jax previously talked about his excitement to start filming Vanderpump Rules Season 9. And, then, all of a sudden he and Brittany announced that they “left” the show.

According to RealityBlurb, Jax addressed his exit during an Instagram Live session.  He even admitted, “The last three years of Vanderpump Rules, I was 90 percent checked out. I couldn’t go on faking it. I have no interest in any of the things they are doing on that show.”

Jax said, “I’m a dad. I’m 40-years-old. It didn’t make sense for me to pretend to work at SUR.” Jax and Brittany are expecting their first child this year.

Then, he pulled that classic reality TV star tactic: blaming the editing. He believes that he just “couldn’t win.” He felt that the show highlighted the negative moments in addition to ignoring the positive aspects of his life. I’m also going to point out how he’s said several times over that he doesn’t even watch Vanderpump Rules.

Of course, Jax has aspirations to continue his reality TV career. He wants to do a new reality TV show with Brittany, Stassi, Kristen, Beau Clark, Kristen’s boyfriend Alex Menache, Randall Emmett, and I assume Lala Kent because why would Randall film without her?

Jax said, “We can be Housewives adjacent, showing our new issues, our new problems, taking care of our kids and trying to manage that. It would be cool to do a show.” Apparently, they got “really, really good” feedback on the idea. Sure. And I’m sure they got feedback from the same people who supposedly wanted to do a reality TV show with Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge.
