Interview with Olivia King

Celebrity, Fashion, News, Reality TV

Hi Olivia!! Thank you for spending some time with us today!

What are you listening for when listening to new music?

Creative lyrics from the jump or a hard-hitting beat!

What music played in your home growing up? Does it influence the music you create now?

My mom was always playing super soulful music. Even at Christmas time, it was always a “Soulful Christmas” Playlist! This 100% influenced me when I started creating music. I ALWAYS lean towards the soulful side when I create my own music!

What is the hardest aspect of songwriting?

Coming up with new concepts. Love and relationships are so easy to write about so I love coming up with creative ideas and new concepts, but it can be challenging.

Do you have any mantras before hitting the stage?

You have to amp yourself up before hitting the stage and give yourself all the self-esteem. I like to listen to some hardcore rap before I go on stage to really give me an edge. Gotta tell yourself “I’m a boss.”

What does “me time” mean for you?

This either means being in my studio writing music or in my room alone watching The Bachelor lol

Two words to describe your style?

 Pop Soul

Night owl or morning person?

Night Owl. I hate waking up early!

Favorite guilty pleasure?

The Kardashians haha

What is your go-to karaoke song?

“I’m Goin’ Down” by Mary J Blige

Do you have a new attitude for 2021?

I would say so. I’ve always been really focused on my online presence but will really be getting as creative as possible in 2021.

Which platforms are you most active on and how do our readers stay connected with you?

Instagram 100% I post an Instagram Reel every day and am super active on my stories!
