Stephen Lang Wraps Filming on ‘Don’t Breathe’ Sequel!

Horror

Finally, a bit of good news out of this tedious year!

It appears that the sequel to Fede Alvarez‘s Don’t Breathe has not only gone behind cameras but is close to, if not done filming.

Stephen Lang, who returns as the “Blind Man”, tells fans on Twitter that he’s personally wrapped in Belgrade.

Alvarez did not return to direct the sequel, rumored to be titled Don’t Breathe Again. His replacement? Rodo Sayagues, the co-writer of Don’t Breathe. Sayagues also co-wrote Alvarez’s Evil Dead.

Don’t Breathe 2 is set several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace…until his past sins catch up to him.”

Bloody Disgusting was able to obtain more information, learning that:

In Don’t Breathe 2, the Blind Man has been hiding out for years in an isolated cabin and has taken in and raised a young girl orphaned from a house fire.

Their quiet existence is shattered when a group of kidnappers show up and take the girl, forcing the Blind Man to leave his safe haven to save her.

Interesting. It sounds as if they’ve turned the Blind Man into the film’s protagonist?

In Don’t Breathe, a trio of thieves broke into the Blind Man’s house learning that he isn’t as helpless as he seems. Jane Levy starred as one of those unlucky thieves, named Rocky, who survives her harrowing ordeal.

No word yet on whether or not Levy will be back for the sequel, or if the film will tell an entirely different story altogether.

Watch this spot for release news as it comes in.
