The Disney Channel family is in mourning.

Carla Jeffery, star of the original Zombies movie trilogy who also appeared in Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up, died at age 33, her management team led by Carla Alexander announced Sept. 2.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffrey,” Alexander wrote in the statement, “who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old.”

“For more than 20 years,” the post continued, “we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”

Her cause of death was not shared.

The iCarly actress began her career at 12 years old, costarring with Mo’Nique in her first major role in Phat Girlz, in which Jeffrey played the younger version of the star’s character.

“As Bree in Disney’s hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor and bright spirit with audiences around the world,” Alexander continued. “Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time.”
