A Long-Awaited Return

Elton John has shared a special connection with Mexican audiences for decades. He first performed in Mexico City 34 years ago with two concerts at Azteca Stadium during The One tour, introducing generations of fans to his legendary live show. His most recent appearances came in 2012, when he performed two intimate “Elton & Ray Cooper” concerts at Auditorio Nacional.

Now, after more than a decade away, the singer-songwriter is returning for what organizers describe as a once-in-a-lifetime engagement.

“Mexico City has always held a special place in my heart,” Elton said in a statement. “I was truly disappointed that the pandemic kept me from touring Latin America during my Farewell tour which makes this return especially meaningful. I’m thrilled to finally share this very special moment with my fans after all these years…”

The concerts are expected to draw fans not only from across Mexico but throughout Latin America and beyond, offering one final opportunity to celebrate one of music’s most enduring careers.

While his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour officially wrapped in 2023, these Mexico City dates offer fans a rare chance to experience Elton live once more in a city that has embraced his music for generations.
