Senior year is officially underway for Kitty Song Covey and it looks like she has a lot to figure out.
Netflix has released the trailer for XO, Kitty Season 3, and the beloved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before spinoff is returning with even more romance, chaos, and heartfelt moments. The new season premieres April 2 and finds Kitty trying to make the most of her final year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul.
But if the trailer proves anything, it is that Kitty’s plans rarely go exactly how she expects.

Kitty Has a Senior Sunset List
In the new footage, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) reveals she has a plan for senior year. She has mapped out a “Senior Sunset List” filled with everything she hopes to experience before graduation.
That includes figuring out where she wants to apply to college, spending time with her Korean family during Chuseok, and making the most of every moment with her friends.
Of course, the biggest item on the list might be the one she cannot quite solve.
Kitty still needs to figure out what is really going on between her and longtime frenemy Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). Their chemistry has been building since Season 1, and the tension only grew stronger in Season 2. Now, senior year may finally force them to face those feelings head-on.

Kitty’s Love Life Has Never Been Simple
Like any great teen drama, XO, Kitty thrives on complicated relationships. But Kitty’s love life has always been a little more chaotic than the average love triangle.
When the series first began, Kitty moved to Seoul largely to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend Dae (Minyeong Choi). That relationship eventually unraveled, opening the door to something Kitty never expected.

She started developing feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim), the very person she once thought she could not stand. That realization sparked a wave of bisexual panic and helped Kitty better understand her identity and what she truly wants from love.
The show has continued to embrace queer storytelling in meaningful ways. Kitty openly identifies as bisexual; her best friend, Q (Anthony Keyvan), brings humor and heart as the group’s proudly gay confidant; and the evolving dynamics between the characters have made the series feel refreshingly modern for a teen romance.
The Min Ho Question Still Lingers

Even with all of that growth, the biggest emotional question heading into Season 3 revolves around Min Ho.
Their relationship has been full of sharp banter, lingering glances, and unresolved tension. By the end of Season 2, it became clear that the feelings between them had not gone away.

Maybe she just needs a little help from her older sister to sort out her love life. Enter Lana Condor! Condor, who played Lara Jean Covey in the three To All the Boys movies, said it was a joy to join the XO, Kitty series.
“I think she did an amazing job creating the XO, Kitty world,” she said of Cathcart. “It’s such a dream to be able to work with her again. I feel really excited and happy and honored I get to be back.”

A Familiar Face Returns
When Kitty reaches out for advice about her romantic confusion, Lara Jean reminds her that life does not stop because of one complicated relationship. Sometimes the best thing you can do is follow your heart and trust the journey.
It is a fitting reminder for Kitty as she navigates friendship, love, and the uncertainty of what comes after high school.

Created by Jenny Han, XO, Kitty continues to blend romance, humor, and emotional storytelling in a way that has resonated with fans around the world. Now Kitty’s final year at KISS is about to begin and it looks like her biggest adventure might still be ahead.
