Beyoncé to Play NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show

Beyoncé’s first performance since releasing Cowboy Carter will be available to watch for anyone with a Netflix subscription. The singer announced she’s playing at the NFL Christmas Day Halftime Show at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The game, which is between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens, will be streamed live on Netflix on December 25. Fans can also watch it on broadcast TV in the competing team cities. Watch Beyoncé’s teaser video for the event below.

According to a press release from Netflix, details of Beyoncé’s performance are under wraps, but she is “expected to feature some special guests who are featured on the Cowboy Carter album.” That doesn’t quite narrow down the long list of fellow musicians that apples to, including Dolly Parton, Linda Martell, Willie Nelson as disc jockeys; Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, and Willie Jones as fellow country artists; and various instruments played by Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Nile Rodgers, Rhiannon Giddens, Jon Batiste, Gary Clark Jr., and Robert Randolph.

Cowboy Carter is Beyoncé’s eighth No. 1 album and the latest to earn an Album of the Year nod. The pop-turned-country star leads the 2025 Grammy Awards so far with 11 nominations, raising her status from the most decorated artist in the Recording Academy to also include holding the most nominations of all time, with a casual 99 nods. But that didn’t stop the 58th Annual Country Music Association Awards from snubbing her anyway.
