Usher took the stage for the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and you can watch what went down below. The singer brought out Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Lil Jon, H.E.R., and Jermaine Dupri during his show, which he performed amid dozens of dancers and gymnasts in sparkly getups and feathered wings. Usher started the show on a throne draped in a white cloak, launching into a medley of hits and Confessions classics like “U Don’t Have to Call,” “Superstar,” “Love in This,” “Burn,” “OMG,” and more. Check it out below.
Keys appeared on stage sitting at a red lacquered piano and singing her single “If I Ain’t Got You,” followed by a duet of “My Boo”—Keys and Usher’s hit from 2004. Singer and songwriter H.E.R. joined in later for a searing guitar solo, while Lil Jon and Ludacris appeared for a rollicking mashup of “Turn Down for What” and “Yeah!,” while Usher and his backup dancers effortlessly skated around the stage.
A seasoned artist fully aware of his audience’s needs, Usher removed his shirt during his performance of “U Got It Bad.” At one point, a marching band spelled out “USHER” on the field.
After announcing the Halftime Show last year, Usher wrapped his Las Vegas residency and plotted a string of summer and autumn dates dubbed the Past Present Future Tour. His new album, Coming Home, arrived on Friday.
Earlier tonight, the Super Bowl event got under way with Andra Day performing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” before Post Malone and Reba McEntire stepped in to sing “America the Beautiful” and “Star-Spangled Banner,” respectively.
