Kelly Dodd: Tamra Judge isn’t being a ‘good friend’ to Shannon Beador after DUI arrest

Reality TV

Kelly Dodd claims Tamra Judge isn’t being a “good friend” to Shannon Beador in the aftermath of her DUI and hit-and-run arrest on Saturday night.

“I have to say, Vicki Gunvalson is a very good friend at this time to her – Tamra, not so much,” Dodd said on Tuesday’s episode of her YouTube show “Daily Smash” with husband, Rick Leventhal.

The former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star revealed that Gunvalson has plans to go over to Beador’s home and have a meal together at one point.

“She had her hair person there, so I’m glad someone is there with her,” Dodd claimed.

Dodd, who starred on the Bravo reality show until 2020, shared that she’s been in contact with Beador and even dropped off stuffed peppers and a lasagna to her paparazzi-packed house on Tuesday morning.

“It’s just heartbreaking,” Dodd, 47, added. “You feel bad for her, but could you imagine if that was you and there was paparazzi hanging outside your door? Like could you imagine? That would be horrific.”

Dodd also claimed that Beador, 59, was getting dinner with two of her friends just hours before she was arrested early Sunday.

She emphasized that she does “not condone” Beador’s actions, but she also wants to give her “grace at this time.”

“I know Shannon. She’s a smart cookie. She will not do this ever again. We all make mistakes,” she added.

The ex-Bravolebrity did not elaborate on why Gunvalson, 61, was being a better friend than Judge, and her rep didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

However, a source close to Beador tells Page Six, “Tamra has been supportive of Shannon. I wouldn’t take everything Kelly Dodd says as fact.”

Judge is the only current “RHOC” cast member that has discussed the arrest.

“I feel like I’m going to throw up,” Judge, 56, said during Monday’s episode of “Two Ts in a Pod” with Teddi Mellencamp.

Judge also claimed that she had a conference call with both Beador and Gunvalson on Sunday and she recalled Beador being “extremely quiet,” but she didn’t tell them about her arrest.

“She didn’t say a word to me — nothing,” Judge said. “She said, ‘It’s been a rough couple of days,’ and that’s all she told me.”

Judge admitted that she was “shook” and feels “bad” for her longtime friend.

“There is absolutely no reason in this day and age to ever drink and drive,” she concluded. “I will not even have one drink and get into the car because you don’t know how an alcoholic beverage is going to hit you.”

After her podcast clip went viral, Judge seemed to show her support on social media by sharing a photo of the three longtime friends hugging each other and added a heart emoji in the caption.

Can’t get enough ‘Real Housewives?’

Meanwhile, Beador has not addressed the drunken hit-and-run over the weekend, but her attorney, Mike Fell, told Page Six in a statement that she is “extremely apologetic and remorseful.”

“We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions,” he told us.

The Real For Real founder was arrested late Saturday night in Newport Beach, Calif., after she took a turn too tight and clipped a residential property, according to an arrest report obtained by Page Six.

TMZ posted a video of the accident that showed Beador speeding through the turn, hitting the curb and sidewalk, reversing her car and driving off.

Page Six obtained photos that show the destruction of Beador’s crash, and several pieces of what appear to be Beador’s vehicle were scattered throughout the scene. Police arrested her while she was drunkenly walking her dog, and she was booked on two misdemeanors: hit-and-run and DUI alcohol.
