In his new biography written by Walter Isaacson, Elon Musk revealed that he and Grimes have had a third child. Named Techno Mechanicus, or Tau for short, their new child’s existence was kept private until now. Musk and Grimes similarly waited months to announce their second child, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, in 2022. Their first child, X Æ A-12, or X, was born in 2020.

Grimes and Elon Musk first publicly revealed their relationship at the 2018 Met Gala. In 2021, the couple announced they had “semi-separated.” In Musk’s new biography, Grimes refers to the way he handles his anger as “demon mode.” She goes on to say that it “causes a lot of chaos,” but also allows him to be productive.

Musk has 10 children with three women, one of whom is Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink who reports directly to him. Zilis had twins in 2021 after Musk offered to be her sperm donor so that “the kids would be genetically his,” writes author Isaacson. “He really wants smart people to have kids,” Zilis explained in the biography. This took place While Grimes was expecting their second child. Musk reportedly did not inform her that he had twins with one of his employees.

“Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer,” Grimes wrote in a now-deleted post to Isaacson on X (formerly Twitter) last week. “I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”

Grimes’ last album, Miss Anthropocene, came out back in 2020. Since then, she’s parted ways with Columbia Records and shared new songs “I Wanna Be Software,” “Welcome to the Opera,” “Shinigami Eyes,” and “Player of Games.” Grimes also unveiled software that can mimic her voice, offering artists that utilize it 50-50 royalties for commercial use.
