‘The Awakening’ – Rebecca Hall’s First Foray Into Horror Is a SCREAMBOX Exclusive!

Horror

The entire film community has finally caught onto Andrea Riseborough, an absurdly talented actor who shocked the world with her surprise “Best Actress” Oscar nomination.

Another fan favorite in the horror community is Rebecca Hall, who is easily one of the best actors on the planet. While she’s appeared in several high-profile films, including Godzilla vs. Kong, she recently toplined David Bruckner’s festival smash hit The Night House, which acted as a lead-in to his Hellraiser film, as well as the critically acclaimed Sundance horror-thriller Resurrection.

Before her ascension, Hall starred in Nick Murphy‘s chilling The Awakening, a 2011 indie haunter where she plays an expert on hoaxes.

Now streaming exclusively on SCREAMBOX, the film takes place in 1921…

“England is overwhelmed by the loss and grief of World War I. Hoax exposer Florence Cathcart visits a boarding school to explain sightings of a child ghost. Everything she believes unravels as the ‘missing’ begin to show themselves.”
