Fans question North West’s lavish pre-Met Gala gift for Kim Kardashian: ‘No way’

Reality TV

Fans are calling BS on North West organizing an extravagant pre-Met Gala surprise for mom Kim Kardashian.

On Monday, Kardashian showed off a lavish room — which she claims was arranged by the 9-year-old — that included three massage beds surrounded by white rose petals, countless bouquets of flowers and dozens of lit white candles.

There was also a setup of custom silver balloons that read, “Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala,” referencing this year’s theme, on one of the walls.

“How sweet is North for surprising me tonight with this for us to relax before the Met?” Kardashian, 42, captioned Instagram Story clip, which panned around the room.

The Skims founder also gushed about the stunning setup as she filmed the details.

“Oh my gosh, ‘Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala,’” she said as she showed off the balloons. “North! Massages before the big day – how beautiful.”

Despite the wholesome gesture, fans immediately wondered how a 9-year-old could pull off such a luxurious surprise.

“There is no way North did this,” one user wrote on Reddit Monday.

“Maybe the intern’s name is also North,” someone added, insinuating that one of the famed family’s employees actually executed the surprise.

“I think the part that’s true is that maybe north threw some pedals [sic] on the ground,” another person chimed in.

“My mum would NEVER let me light up a candle as a 9-year-old 😳,” someone else pointed out.

“Why does she just lie like this 💀 No 9 year old would/can do this….why can’t she let North just be a 9 year old,” another asked.

“I’m pretty sure she meant North arranged this thru the hotel they’re staying at,” someone else explained. “I’m sure she’s not expecting ppl [sic] to think North literally hauled 3 massage beds into their hotel rooms or bought and set up the flowers herself.”

Fans also speculated on whether North will be joining her mom to the Super Bowl of fashion on Monday night, as she was seen wearing an on-theme outfit along with cousin Penelope Disick and uncle Scott Disick.

Kardashian also shares sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 3, as well as daughter Chicago, 5, with North’s father, Kanye West.
