Former “Teen Mom” star Nathan Griffith was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly choking a woman, Page Six can confirm.
According to TMZ, police arrived at the former reality TV star’s home in Delray Beach, Fla. on Friday after he allegedly told his brother-in-law, William, over the phone that he had “lost it,” choked a woman and dragged her up the stairs.
William further claimed to the cops that he then texted Griffith’s girlfriend, who told him she was not OK.
When cops arrived at Griffith’s home, he was allegedly uncooperative and even told the officers that William wasn’t a reliable source because he was “on drugs.”
However, the MTV star had scratches on his neck and back, which he reportedly told the cops came from having sex with his girlfriend.
The woman, who hasn’t been publicly named, was initially uncooperative with the police, but later admitted that he had been “physically aggressive with her.” Authorities also saw bruising around her neck.
Per the police report obtained by the outlet, she shouted, “I’m 100 some pounds and he’s 250 how in the hell am I supposed to get him off me.”
Griffith— who shares 8-year-old son Kaiser with “Teen Mom” alum Jenelle Evans — has been charged with committing domestic battery by strangulation and is currently being held at the Palm Beach County jail without a bond.
The US Sun was the first to report the arrest.
Although the woman’s name is being protected by cops, Griffith tied the knot with May Oyola, 38, in a secret Miami ceremony back in April 2022. According to The US Sun, she currently lives in the residence where he was arrested.
“Teen Mom 2” fans were first introduced to Griffith during Season 5 as Evans’ boyfriend and second baby daddy.
Months after they got engaged, the former couple called it quits after Griffith was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The two decided to give their relationship a second chance before she confirmed that they had called off their engagement for good.
