Horror

Another brand new playable character is headed to Evil Dead: The Game, with the developers announcing tonight that the Blacksmith from Army of Darkness is coming very soon!

“The Blacksmith arrives this October as part of the Hail to the King update! The Blacksmith is included in Season Pass 1. Keep your eyes peeled for more news about the update.”

The character was played on screen by Timothy Patrick Quill in Sam Raimi’s horror-comedy sequel from 1992, who unfortunately passed away back in April of last year.

Timothy Patrick Quill later popped up for cameo appearances in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, and he also showed up in Raimi’s movie Oz the Great and Powerful.

Quill also appeared in Sam Raimi’s debut feature It’s Murder!, along with several shorts from the Raimi crew including Three on a Couch, No Dough Boys, and Six Months to Live.

Other films on Quill’s resume include Mike Mendez’s Killers, From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money, My Name is Bruce, and most recently, 2020’s The Trees Have Eyes.

Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive’s Evil Dead: The Game features single-player and co-op gameplay, promising to be the ultimate Evil Dead experience in the world of video games. Several characters from the movies and TV series are playable in the game at launch, along with four different versions of Deadite-slaying horror hero Ash Williams.

In the game, “Work together as a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, managing your fear, and finding key artifacts to seal the breach between worlds. Or take control of the powerful Kandarian Demon to hunt Ash and his friends while possessing Deadites, the environment, and even the survivors themselves as you seek to swallow their souls.”
