Last week, St. Vincent had a musical residency on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. At one point during her stay, Annie Clark and the house band Stay Human covered the Fleetwood Mac classic “Dreams.” The band put a funk and jazz–inflected spin on the standout Rumours single, with solos from guitarist Louis Cato, saxophonist Louis Fouché, and trumpeter Jon Lampley. Watch below.

St. Vincent’s sixth studio album, Daddy’s Home, dropped in May 2021. The album was followed by the soundtrack for The Nowhere Inn, Annie Clark’s collaborative film with Carrie Brownstein, that September. She recently contributed a cover of the Lipps Inc. classic “Funkytown” to the Jack Antonoff–produced soundtrack for Minions: The Rise of Gru.
