Rowdy Rebel has released his debut album, Rebel vs. Rowdy. The new album includes collaborations with French Montana, Jadakiss, Dreezy, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Fivio Foreign, and others. The record was led by the singles “Rebel vs. Rowdy” and “Woo Nina.” Listen to Rowdy Rebel’s new album Rebel vs. Rowdy below.

On Wednesday, Rowdy Rebel dropped a teaser trailer for the album that set expectations for Rebel vs. Rowdy. In the video, the Brooklyn rapper embarks on a hero’s journey of sorts through footage of him leaving prison in 2020, reuniting with his friends, getting involved in his community, and laying down tracks in the studio. It suggests the album pits Rebel’s former self against who he is now. Watch the trailer below.

Rowdy Rebel found success in Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 collective in the mid-2010s, but was incarcerated after pleading guilty to third-degree conspiracy and weapons charges in 2016. Rowdy Rebel contributed a guest verse to Pop Smoke’s posthumous track “Make It Rain” in June 2020. In December of that same year, he was released from prison. After dropping his comeback song “Re-Route” at the start of 2021, Rowdy Rebel teamed up with Nav for “Jesse Owens” and hopped on Bobby Shmurda’s single “Shmoney.”
