Meredith Marks Is “Sickened” By Jennie Nguyen’s “Racist And Prejudicial Posts”

Reality TV

Meredith Marks has entered the chat. The firestorm surrounding Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member Jennie Nguyen is far from over. After it was revealed that Jennie posted, shared and liked incredibly offensive memes to her Facebook account less than two years ago, her castmates are weighing in.

One by one, each housewife issued a statement that they didn’t condone Jennie’s actions. While Meredith put up a vague Instagram post and tweet a few days ago, she didn’t really address the situation. But now she’s facing it head on with a tweet. Said Meredith, “Since it was not perfectly clear in my previous tweet and I can now speak out in more depth, I am sickened by my co-worker’s racist and prejudicial posts that recently surfaced.”

She continued, “I do not stand behind or support these posts in any way, shape or form. I stand with and support the communities affected and targeted by this. I am deeply disturbed and outraged by her actions. Black Lives Matter.” Meredith concluded, “You will see repercussions. As difficult as it is, give things a moment to come to light. Know that I do not support this behavior in anyway [sic] and will continue to use my platform to speak out against it.”

During the last few days, the whole cast has unfollowed Jennie on social media. Aside from Mary Cosby, who never bothered to follow her to begin with. Mary, who has also made racially insensitive remarks, one of those being to Jennie herself, is the only cast member who hasn’t commented at this time.

Jennie recently came under fire for her past Facebook posts. Some of those posts included anti-BLM sentiment and memes using “White Lives Matter” rhetoric. One post was a meme showing  two cartoon characters looking at stick figure bumper stickers on the back of a car. The caption read, “No, that’s not my family, that’s how many rioters I’ve hit!” She also shared a post that said,“I’m sick of people saying cops need more training. You had 18 years to teach your kids it’s wrong to loot, steal, set buildings ablaze, block traffic, laser people’s eyes, overturn cars, destroy buildings and attack citizens. Who failed who?” Pretty disgusting to say the least.

While there are calls to fire Jennie, so far, Bravo nor Andy Cohen have issued statements addressing the matter. And Jennie has been seen filming season 3 already. Bravo has seemingly had recent awakening about continuing the employment of Bravolebrities who have said horrible things, whether it be past or present. So why they are still silent about Jennie is not sitting well with many. She deserves to be held accountable just like anyone else.
