Book of Boba Fett Star Teases Big Surprise In Season 1 Finale

Temuera Morrison teases big surprises coming in The Book of Boba Fett season 1 finale. Morrison stars as the titular character Boba Fett in the Disney+ original series that premiered in late December of 2021. Boba Fett, who serves as both a crime lord and former bounty hunter, first appeared in the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special and would go on to appear in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back and 1983’s Return of the Jedi. The latter movie saw the character fall into the awaiting mouth of the sarlacc sand beast.

Morrison first took on the role of Boba Fett in The Mandalorian season 2 with his first full appearance occurring in the episode, “Chapter 14: The Tragedy.” Taking place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the Disney+ series confirmed Boba Fett’s survival from the sarlacc’s mouth, retconning his apparent death. Morrison’s character also plays a role in the next two episodes, helping Mando rescue the child from Moff Gideon. After creating a distraction to aid in the rescue, Fett flies off into hyperspace, where is not seen again until a post-credits scene which sees him and his sidekick, Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), return to Tatooine and sit on the throne that once belonged to Jabba the Hutt. The Book of Boba Fett picks up after that end-credits sequence.

Speaking with THR, Morrison, along with his co-star Ming-Na Wen, tease big surprises coming in The Book of Boba Fett season 1 finale. Calling the series, “full of surprises,” Morrison goes on the say they’ve, “got some good stuff coming up.” Wen reportedly had to stop Morrison before he gave away too much; however, the actor does say, “wait till episode seven, wow!“ See Morrison’s full quote below:

“Yes, full of surprises. The Book of Boba ‘full of surprises’ series. Yeah, we’ve got some good stuff coming up. Ooh, wait till episode seven, wow!”

New Book of Boba Fett Clip 2

So far, reviews of The Book of Boba Fett are quite promising; however, many viewers have criticized the show as boring. This is particularly due to the show’s use of several flashbacks that don’t entirely focus on the storyline fans have been anticipating. Although these flashbacks are setting the scene, so to speak, they aren’t exactly connecting with every viewer. Nonetheless, the show’s creators have also hinted at surprises yet to come, which may help to keep fans coming back for more.

Fresh off the heels of Luke Skywalker’s surprising appearance in The Mandalorian season 2 finale, audiences are waiting for big surprises in The Book of Boba Fett. Morrison specifically mentions the show’s finale, episode seven, as being particularly noteworthy. Hopefully, the surprises yet to be seen are enough to keep people interested, otherwise they may not be willing to watch a second season.
