Tom Schwartz Wants Lisa Vanderpump To Return To Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Reality TV

Lisa Vanderpump is one Bravolebrity with a long reign on more than one show.  She starred on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for nine seasons, while simultaneously managing a cast on Vanderpump Rules, currently in its’ ninth season.  After bowing out of RHOBH after the Puppygate scandal, Lisa focused on her spinoff show with no regrets about leaving the hornets nest that was the RHOBH cast.

Lisa’s dynamic on Vanderpump Rules is totally different because, of course, she has a position of authority over her costars.  So any conflict on the show has little to do with her.  And it seems Lisa would like to keep it that way rather than try to return to a group of her peers, only to be sabotaged and alienated again.

But Lisa’s right hand man, Tom Schwartz, thinks his former boss and co-investor in TomTom should return.  At the very least, just to face the challenge again.  On a recent episode of E! News’ Daily Pop, Tom and co-star Tom Sandoval spoke about the new season of Vanderpump Rules.  Entertainment Tonight reported that the Toms thinks Lisa should return for a showdown with former bestie Kyle Richards.

“I would love to see her back because when she’s on Vanderpump Rules, she’s in a very different position than when she’s on Housewives,” Sandoval stated. “She talks about, it’s a lot.”

Schwartz suggested that Lisa is too comfortable in her role as Vanderpump boss.  “She was under the gun when she was on Housewives,” Schwartz explained, “She runs the gauntlet, where on our show she’s this magisterial…She’s the boss.”

Sandoval added to the sentiment.  He said, “She’s the queen. She runs the show.”

So, would Lisa return to RHOBH?  She’s mentioned it as a possibility if Kyle was fired if there was a cast reshuffle.  Now that Kyle has recruited another sister to film with her, the self-proclaimed queen of Beverly Hills is unlikely to leave the series any time soon.

But Lisa is happy to ride the wave of her staff’s antics.  This season is only two episodes in and we’re getting plenty of drama.  Sandoval is again at odds with Katie Maloney, while motherhood seems to have matured Lala Kent and Scheana Marie.

A Sandoval-friendly fashion show and Coachella themed party bring the group to Palm Springs, where James Kennedy plans to propose to Raquel Leviss.  “That’s one of the more tame ones but it’s still pretty awesome,” Sandoval said of the party.

Newbie Charli Burnett gets into a heated exchange with Lala, and makes a surprising revelation about her past battles with food.  Schwartz explained how Charli’s made an impact within the group.  “We’re learning more about Charli as we’ve gone on,” he said, “We’ve actually bonded on a deep level now. We didn’t realize some of the issues she was dealing with so it’s easy to be callous.”

Charlie did hold her own against Lala for awhile, before emotions about her troubled past took over.  Sandoval admitted that he was on “Charli’s side” because, “some of the things said at that table made a lot more sense coming out of Charli’s mouth than Lala’s.”
