Bachelor In Paradise Producers Wanted Dean Unglert To Propose To Caelynn Miller-Keyes This Season

Reality TV

Bachelor in Paradise might be over, but Bachelor Nation is a round-the-clock franchise. The trailer for Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette has been released and it looks like the most dramatic season ever! Okay, maybe not, but if there’s one thing The Bachelor franchise delivers on, it’s getting men to propose to women they’ve only known for a few weeks with a Neil Lane diamond.

How do they do it, you ask? Dean Unglertfrom Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette and Season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, has answer for us. According to an article in People, Dean “revealed that producers suggested that he propose to [his girlfriend, Caelynn Miller-Keyes], 26, one day before they filmed the episode.” To catch you up, Dean and Caelynn met in paradise and have maybe been living in Dean’s van, traveling around like nomads. Only Dean looks the part though. The couple recently appeared on the finale of Bachelor in Paradise, where they greeted Joe Amabile, Serena Pitt, Riley Christian, Maurissa Gunn, Kenny Braasch, and Mari Pepin-Solis.

“During an episode of his podcast with fellow Bachelor Nation star Jared Haibon, Help! I Suck at Dating,” Dean shared, “I think I can share this. I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to. When we were down there, the producers…they pulled me aside and they were, like, ‘Hey Dean, you should totally propose to Caelynn on the last day of the show,’ and I was like, ‘Are you serious? You’re telling me this, like, literally the day before we’re supposed to go down and film this episode?’”

Are you serious, Dean? Of course they’d spring that on you, they have Neil Lane on standby. In all seriousness though, Dean finished by saying, “all that’s to say the producers are not bashful when it comes to trying to encourage people to propose.” Nope. Not one bit!

Dean and Caelynn might not be engaged yet, but they do “‘have this pipe dream’ of living abroad at some point for up to two years.” Dean shared that they each want to try living in Japan and South America for “like, six months in each spot. And I think we’ve added Italy to the list as well,” he says. This actually sounds very cool. Cheers to them for travelling and not rushing into an engagement!
