[Trailer] Expanded Version of ‘Death’s Gambit’ Arrives September 30 For PC And Nintendo Switch; PlayStation 4 Version to Follow

Horror

Last year, we had All in Games! and developer Ovid Works grace us with their Kafka-inspired Metamorphosis, where you played as an insect. Now, we have an indie take on the man-bug concept with Erupting Avocado’s narrative horror title, The Repairing Mantis.

Releasing today on Steam and itch.io with a 10% discount, players experience the violent nightmare of being a praying mantis. Explore an eerie island, meet other animals, collects dreams, all the while making impactful decisions. You also meet a flying squirrel, so bonus!

As with many itch.io games, this is a short but sweet affair. However, the game is steeped in mood, with a “disturbing, violent, and poetic story”, with two endings for you to uncover. Plus, it has that throwback PS1 graphical style that continues to be so darn charming for many.
