Be Not Afraid.

Netflix and Mike Flanagan (“The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor”) are joining forces once again for another horror series, this one titled “Midnight Mass.”

“Midnight Mass,” directed by Flanagan, will be available to Netflix members on September 24, 2021. Today brings brand new official poster art, with a new trailer on the way.

The full trailer for “Midnight Mass” will premiere in one week, we’ve been told, likely on Thursday, September 9. In the meantime, you can check out the key art below. It’s in line with the “floating heads” style of so many recent posters, but with a hand-painted look to it.

“Midnight Mass” tells the tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man (Zach Gilford) and the arrival of a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). When Father Paul’s appearance on Crockett Island coincides with unexplained and seemingly miraculous events, a renewed religious fervor takes hold of the community – but do these miracles come at a price?

The seven episode limited series also stars Kate Siegel, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Alex Essoe, Annarah Cymone, Annabeth Gish, Rahul Kohli, Kristin Lehman, Robert Longstreet, Igby Rigney, Samantha Sloyan, Henry Thomas, and Michael Trucco. The series is executive produced by Flanagan and Trevor Macy for Intrepid Pictures.

Interesting to note, the project has ties to both Hush and Gerald’s Game. “Midnight Mass” was the book Maddie Young wrote in Hush, and it later appeared in Gerald’s Game.
