Garcelle Beauvais Says It’s “Baffling” RHOBH Cast Believed Erika Jayne Right Away But Not Denise Richards

Reality TV

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is having its most dramatic season yet, I can confidently say. And it’s because they’re finally forced to confront real-life issues again, not frivolous fights about puppies and panties. Erika Jayne’s built-up story about her divorce and aloofness to Tom Girardi’s alleged crimes is crumbling down before her very eyes. And while some of the ladies (aka LISA RINNA) are allowing Erika to continue the facade, thankfully, we have the newbies who aren’t afraid to ask the hard questions.

The biggest issue that’s glaringly obvious on RHOBH this year is the ladies’ lack of energy, to put it in Rinna terms, when it comes to owning it. The girls went in on Denise Richards last year over an alleged hookup and Garcelle Beauvais was the only friend to have her back. Now Erika’s being accused of being a part of a scheme to steal from orphans and widows to fund her closet, and the ladies are doing nothing but supporting her. Well, except for Garcelle, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Sutton Stracke, who aren’t too afraid of the ice queen to ask some real hard-hitting questions. And honestly, now even Kyle Richards is coming around to wonder whether or not EJ is being honest about anything at all (I think not, but innocent until proven guilty blah blah blah).

Garcelle has been on Rinna’s neck all season and for good reason. Rinna was so quick to throw her 20-year friendship with Denise away over some rumors (and potentially outing her on national TV) while Erika’s allowed to not own up to whether or not she was part of Tom’s embezzlement. Or as Sutton so eloquently put it during this week’s episode, owning up to the fact that if the money was put in her account, she’s responsible for who it rightfully belongs to whether she knew anything or not.

Garcelle recently spoke to Access about the Denise vs. Erika debacle. And is finally saying what everyone’s thinking — it’s totally effed up. Almost as effed up as Rinna comparing Denise’s allegations to alleged rape accusations, did we just all forget about that? “It irritates me and also, it doesn’t make sense,” Garcelle said. “Some of them knew Denise longer than Erika, so I don’t get it either. That’s really baffling to me is how come they believe Erika right out the gate and they never believed Denise? DING DING DING. Andy Cohen, Garcelle’s already written the biggest question for you to ask at the RHOBH reunion.

The interviewer also brought up how the ladies went after Lisa Vanderpump during #puppygate more than Erika, and Garcelle is totally empathetic with it. “I was asking them the same question too. Like, why does she get carte blanche when we don’t know anything and this is much bigger?” Garcelle asked. She added that the ladies have to OWN IT themselves, probably at the reunion, because it’s not just Garcelle thinking it — most of the viewers are as well. And while we’re at it, let’s give Sutton and Garcelle double the diamonds for being unafraid to say what everyone’s thinking. The RHOBH duo we didn’t know we needed.

TELL US – DO YOU AGREE WITH GARCELLE THAT ERIKA SHOULD BE GETTING THE SAME AMOUNT OF QUESTIONS FROM THE RHOBH CAST AS DENISE DID? WHY DO YOU THINK THE LADIES ARE GIVING ERIKA A FREE PASS?
