Beau Clark Opens Up About Depression; Says “I Have So Much Fear Of The Future”

It’s been a minute since Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for racist behavior. The Vanderpump Rules stars were axed in June of 2020, along with Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni. Stassi lost brand endorsement deals, and her podcast was pulled from all platforms.

Stassi was planning to marry Beau Clark in Rome in October of 2020. But coronavirus had other ideas. However, the couple did receive some good news.

On June 23, 2020 Stassi shared on Instagram that the couple was expecting a baby girl in January of 2021. The couple surprised many Pump Rules fans when they tied the knot in an informal wedding. Then, Beau and Stassi welcomed their daughter, Hartford Charlie Rose Clark on January 7, 2021.

According to Reality Blurb! Beau recently opened up about his battle with depression to friend, and Vanderpump Rules co-star, Katie Maloney on her You’re Gonna Love Me podcast. “I’ve been digging a mental depression almost in my head and it’s just self-sabotage. And all of a sudden, I’m like, ‘I need this. I need this to happen. I’m fearful of this [and] fearful of that,’” Beau said.

Beau’s fears have increased during the pandemic, especially about how to provide for his family. As a casting agent, his job has slowed down. And now the duo is also out their Bravo paycheck for Pump Rules.

Beau explained, “I have so much fear of the future. I have so much fear of if I’m going to be a good dad – I know I’m gonna be a good dad, but how am I gonna take care of my daughter, you know?”

He continued, “Because work has been slow because of COVID. There’s not many things that are being cast. So, I’m stressing out and I’m literally broken down. I’m crying,” Beau shared. ‘I don’t think I would ever take medicine to make myself feel better, but it’s definitely been tough.”

Like many new parents, Beau is also haunted by fears that something could happen to his daughter. “When I hold her sometimes or if I pick her up over a chair that has a sharp corner, or even anything, and I think about, ‘Oh my gosh, what if I dropped her.’ Yeah, dark thoughts!” Beau revealed.

“Like, one of my friends I saw on Instagram, their son went to the hospital, and just reading that I started crying,” he said. “And I started getting really emotional because I was thinking about what if that happened [to Hartford.] You know, I have the dad thoughts and the dad heart now,” Beau added.

I hope that Beau is able to get the help, and support, that he needs.
