‘Justice League’: The Age of Heroes Comes Again in Brand New Trailer for Zack Snyder’s Rated “R” Cut

Zack Snyder‘s 4-hour “Snyder Cut” of DC superhero movie Justice League is coming exclusively to HBO Max on March 18, and the new trailer we were promised has arrived today.

The “Snyder Cut” is said to be quite a bit different and a whole lot darker than the film’s theatrical cut, with both Jared Leto‘s Joker from Suicide Squad (sporting a brand new look) and DC super-villain Darkseid (played by Ray Porter) being brought into the mix for it. Unlike the theatrical cut, this version is rated “R,” more in line with Snyder’s originally intended vision.

The long-awaited “Snyder Cut” of the movie is packed with previously shot footage from Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League that we’ve never seen, along with 4 or 5 minutes of entirely new footage that Snyder began shooting just last year. Warner Bros. reportedly spent tens of millions of dollars to make the film happen, largely in response to fan demand.

Check out the brand spankin’ new trailer for Snyder’s director’s cut of Justice League below, which is loaded with Darkseid footage and even our first footage of Leto’s Joker in the film.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
