Braunwyn Windham Burke is having a year. “Who isn’t?” says 2020. But really, Braunwyn is blowing up 2020 as much as 2020 has been blowing up the world. Not only did she start Real Housewives of Orange County by sharing that she’s an alcoholic, but she also just came out as a lesbian. That’s right, Sean Burke isn’t the gay one in that marriage.
Braunwyn is in a new relationship with a woman. Her and Sean are also still married. Apparently, they take vow renewals very seriously. Unfortunately, her co-stars just can’t get on board with anything she’s doing. Kelly Dodd thinks she’s a poser and a loser. Gina Kirschenheiter says Braunwyn has put the cast in a scary situation. Shannon Beador has her Dr. Woo sponsored antenna raised on her too. The only former housewife supporting Braunwyn right now is Tamra Judge.
As Page Six reports, the friends and former make-out partners’ bond “should not be surprising to fans,” since Tamra, “was one of the first to know about her sobriety” because Braunwyn’s mom, “told Judge off-camera that she was no longer drinking.” Plus, Tamra and Braunwyn each posted “photos from a night on the town in Newport Beach,” because they were “celebrating [Braunwyn’s] decision to come out as a lesbian in an interview with GLAAD last week.”
In addition, Braunwyn recently posted a picture to Instagram wearing “a stunning black dress with the caption, ‘Okay, you’ve all got a lot of opinions about what’s going on in my life, so instead of writing them on a cute Santa photo with the kids, you can write them here….get it out and then we can move on. #youdoyou’.” In the comments of that post Braunwyn came to Tamra’s defense.

A follower warned Braunwyn to steer clear of Tammy Sue. Braunwyn replied, “Tamra has been the only person from RHOC that has been there for me, she knew I was sober and kept it to herself, she knew we were struggling with our daughters mental health issues and listened, she got me through a day that was so hard I was physically shaking. Whatever you think you know, you don’t [sic].”
It’s not surprising that Tamra’s the only one there for Braunwyn right now. This practically guarantees her a contract for next season. If that’s correct, get ready for Shannon to try and work things out with Tamra and Braunwyn real soon.
