Seth Rogen Producing Horror Movie ‘Video Nasty’ for Lionsgate; Cursed VHS Pulls Teens into an ’80s Slasher!

Horror

Announced tonight by Variety, Lionsgate has acquired a horror spec script titled Video Nasty, which has one hell of a cool premise along with Seth Rogen attached to produce.

The film, written by Chris Thomas Devlin, “centers on three teens who rent a cursed VHS and are pulled into an ’80s slasher movie that threatens to trap them forever.”

Jonathan Levine (50/50), the site adds, may potentially end up directing.

Rogen’s Point Grey is producing alongside Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures.

Chris Thomas Devlin just wrote next year’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.
