Demi Lovato’s New Song “Commander in Chief” Is a Trump Diss Track

Music, News

Demi Lovato’s latest single is called “Commander in Chief,” and as the title suggests, it’s about President Trump. The anthemic pop song repeatedly criticizes the president. “Commander in chief, honestly/if I did the things you do, I couldn’t sleep,” she sings. Later, she adds, “We’ll be in the streets while you’re bunkerin’ down.” Listen to it below.

“Please join me and vote in this year’s election,” Lovato wrote in a statement to her fans, pointing to I Will Vote’s website. Lovato isn’t the only musician urging fans to vote this year. Read Pitchfork’s feature “33 Musicians On Why They’re Voting in the 2020 Election.”
