When Denise Richards left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Garcelle Beauvais seemed genuinely sad to say goodbye to filming with her friend of many years. In contrast, Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, and Teddi Mellencamp joked about her departure with memes and Instagram Stories dissing her.
They already got a lot of flack for acting like they were the “Mean Girls of Beverly Hills,” so the memes didn’t help that perception. Then again, this fanbase in particular is just so vocal and whoever liked them before (or didn’t like them before) isn’t going to be swayed by a meme.
Garcelle told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m sad about it,” when she was asked about Denise’s exit.
“I really wish she wouldn’t leave the franchise,” Garcelle said. She added, “I think she’s great. I think she brings a lot.”

Garcelle said, “I think the fans obviously love her and root for her, so I’m really sad about it. I wish there was something that could have been done.
Garcelle said, “I’m going to miss her, obviously. I’m going to miss her on the platform, but we always talk,”

And as for those memes, Garcelle remarked, “I was actually shocked.”
Garcelle continued, “I was really shocked by the memes, I thought that they were really mean.” Same here, Garcelle.

Garcelle explained, “I mean it’s one thing to be on the show and have your feelings, but for her to say, I’m leaving the franchise, at that point you gotta level up and you gotta say, ‘Good luck, Denise, we wish you were…’ I mean, just something kind.” Seriously! If anything, sharing memes of that nature makes the person who posted them look worse than the person she’s making fun of.
Some viewers believed Denise’s denials about a hookup with Brandi Glanville, just like Garcelle did. However, there were plenty of fans who thought Denise was lying and still sided with her because of the way she was treated (and outed on TV).

Garcelle hopes that her co-stars will “show a little bit of growth, a little bit of maturity” in the future. Don’t hold your breath, Garcelle. That is never going to happen.
