Davina Potratz Left Oppenheim Group, But Still Wants To Be On Selling Sunset

Selling Sunset Davina Potratz

Selling Sunset on Netflix has been a runway hit. To be perfectly honest, I almost skipped it. After all, I have Real Housewives and all the Million Dollar Listings to keep me happy. I wasn’t even into the first episode. Cut to me spending all weekend in bed binge watching all three seasons.

One of the draws of Selling Sunset was just how easily each character cast member emerged to played their part on the show. And one person who definitely knew her role on the show was the cast villain, Davina Potratz. Not only did she stir up constant drama, but she also had the nerve to list her age in her bio as 30. Nice try, Davina.

Davina won over about as many fans as she got offers on that $75 million dollar house she insisted on listing. As in, zero. But while Davina might want to move on professionally, she’s not ready to let go of the show either.

In a recent interview with People, Davina revealed that she’s left the Oppenheim Group to join rival real estate firm. According to Davina, “I’m really excited to be a part of Douglas Elliman and their very sophisticated and global new development division.” Davina elaborated on the move, saying, “My background is in new development sales and marketing, so this is just a wonderful opportunity for me. It’s just very in tune with my skills.” If only she could have marketed herself as a decent person on the show.

Luckily, her former boss Jason Oppenheim isn’t harboring any ill will towards her decision. Davina admitted, “He was sad but he absolutely understands.” For his part, Jason said of her exit, “Davina has always been a tremendous asset and a valued agent at the Oppenheim Group, and she is also a friend whose career decisions I very much respect and support. I will always want the best for Davina, and I hope that we continue to work together in the future.”

Of the rest of the Selling Sunset cast, Davina said, “We all know each other so well. So I think they’ll be excited and supportive.” Oh I bet Chrishelle Stause will be excited to see Davina go! Davina continued, “It’s not that I wanted to leave, but I had a great opportunity. It was a purely business decision.”

Despite the whole show revolving around the group at Oppenheim, Davina says she still plans on being on the show. “I certainly hope that I’m still part of the cast,” she said. “Brett [Oppenheim] is not at the Oppenheim Group anymore either, so I don’t think that that’s going to be an issue at all.”

Of the next season, Davina concluded, “We haven’t filmed anything. There’s no confirmation. We just don’t know anything.”

Could next season’s story line be a rivalry between Oppenheim and Davina’s new office? Given how much drama Davina creates, it’s actually not a bad idea. Now excuse me while I google her real age.
