When it was revealed that Asuelu’s mother and sister Lesina and Tammy were going to be on 90 Day Fiancé’s Tell-All, the popcorn should have been kept ready. And that’s just what Kalani Faagata did when Lesina finally apologized for her erratic behavior in front of the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? cast. But by the end of the segment, Asuelu had left the discussion abruptly, which led to Kalani confessing that he’d also alongside, blocked her number!
The couple with one of the most chaotic storylines on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Asuelu, 24, and Kalani, 31, were almost on the verge of ending their marriage. Relationship problems coupled with communication issues between the Samoa-native and his wife, went skyrocketing after his mom and sister entered into the picture. The whole season has Lesina worried over Kalani asking her son to not send them money. But things got progressively worse after Lesina demanded $1000 from Kalani during her Washington visit, and Tammy tried to physically attack her. Amidst rising tensions, Kalani sent Asuelu to stay with his mom, but since coming back, he’s been exhibiting carelessness during the coronavirus pandemic. The 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All episode sees Lesina confessing, “I love my son, and I apologize for what I’m saying, I don’t want Asuelu to lose his sons and his wife and their beautiful family with Kalani’s mom and dad.” Asuelu’s mother advises him to stay home, and stop playing volleyball as he’s “not a boy.” Asuelu refrains from showing any emotions but when it’s Kalani’s mother Lisa’s turn to share her thoughts, the 90 Day Fiancé star storms, straight out of the house.

The Tell-All shows Tammy talking about her wanting to see Asuelu and Kalani get divorced so he can help her family with money. Shaun Robinson plays a clip from 90 Day Fiancé where Kalani cries over the future of her marriage. And an emotional Lisa chips in to note how in spite of everything that’s happening in front of not only the family but the other cast members, Asuelu is “just sitting there stoic. It’s just disgusting to me.” In search of a response from Asuelu, Lisa says that “this is not how Kalani wanted things to be, but it takes more than one person to make something work.” That’s when out of blue, Asuelu takes his earpiece off and leaves the Tell-All without excusing himself. “Point proven,” quips Kolini Faagata before adding, “he’s gonna go play volleyball.” Eric Nichols points out how Asuelu gets up and leaves, every time he encounters a similar situation and Kalani goes around the house looking for her husband.
The 90 Day Fiancé celeb figures out that Asuelu has left with his keys, and Debbie Johnson comments, “He’s such a weenie.” Kalani returns to admit to Shaun that Asuelu had left because he “can’t handle any form of criticism.” Tania Maduro and Syngin Colchester think that it’s his emotions getting the better of him, and she sympathizes with Kalani. However, when Tammy asks her sister-in-law to either “step up,” or “separate,” Kolini asks if her sister should be running after Asuelu when he should be there helping her. However, when Shaun asks Kalani if she can get Asuelu back to the 90 Day Fiancé taping, she mumbles, “He blocked my number” and Kolini lets out a sarcastic laugh. A confused Shaun asks her again, and Kalani confesses, “Yes, he blocked me. My calls aren’t going through and my messages aren’t being delivered.” Elizabeth Potthast asks her, what she would do in case of an emergency, and Kalani admits, “He wouldn’t care.” Andrei Castravet enquires if it’s a consistent thing he does, Kalani shares that, “Yeah, anytime we get into any little petty argument, he blocks my number.”
Kalani reveals “He’ll block me on Instagram, he’ll block me on Facebook. If we get into an argument, he blocks me on everything,” even though they stay in the same house! Asuelu has constantly been called out for being childish by 90 Day Fiancé viewers and this immature habit of his will just strengthen their opinion. His tantrums have always made Asuelu look like a third child for Kalani to raise. But him not being able to stand up either for himself of Kalani, while surrounded by his fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast members just shows his lousy contribution to the relationship. Will Asuelu return and finally speak up? Or will the Tell-All appearance be the last that TLC viewers see of Asuelu and Kalani on 90 Day Fiancé as a couple?
