Lisa Rinna Launches Make-Up Line Called Rinna Beauty

I’ll wait… Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Rinna is a hustler of epic proportions. Adult diapers? She’s sold them. Sassy dusters with a lightweight fabric? Old news to her. Shitty attitude? That’s been on clearance for about three seasons now. To say Lisa isn’t well-versed in the art of retail is like saying Kyle Richards doesn’t enjoy a co-dependent relationship.

After making bank at QVC and receiving checks from RHOBH, what else does Rinna need to do? Now her sights are set on the beauty industry. Oh hell, why not. If Kyle can have a line of clothing at NY Fashion Week, is this so bizarre? Who doesn’t want to buy beauty products from someone who has had the same hair for twenty years? But nothing stops the Rinna machine and with that, she is launching Rinna Beauty.

Lisa is a thespian. Lisa has gifted the public with three books, one of which provided her daughter the proper method of performing fellatio. And Lisa has quite a history in sales. Now she is moving to uncharted territory, make-up. I’m sure Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne’s glam squads are on high alert.

In an interview with Allure, Lisa gives all of the details on her excursion into the land of beauty. Will customers also receive information on unnecessary lip enhancement procedures? Lisa says she has always received a lot of publicity for her mouth, so why not try and make some money off of it. Her line will debut with three kits that include lipstick, gloss, and liner. Let’s pause as Kylie Jenner calls her lawyers because someone is coming for her empire.

According to Lisa, she’s been planning the line for years. “It was something that seemed like the perfect fit, [to] start a lip line. I first wanted to do it… at least 10 years ago, maybe even more. I kept getting close to finding the right partner, the right cosmetic company to work with,” she said.

While her efforts to achieve this dream have been sidelined in the past, Lisa remained headstrong. She said, “Every single time, it fell through. The deal didn’t work. Something happened. And that was, like, five times. I’m not even kidding. I felt like, ‘Gosh, maybe I’m not supposed to do it. Maybe I’m supposed to concentrate on clothes.’ But in the back of my mind, I was like, ‘I’m not going to give up. I’m just not.’ I never take no for an answer, and here we are.”

Rinna shared her inspirations behind the shades, “Certainly my daughters are an inspiration. Every single second of every single day. I have so many great friends and so many beautiful friends. I mean, you just, you think of everybody and I’m so inspired by not only the girls on the show, Erika and Dorit and Kyle… all of my friends are beautiful, strong women.”

I guess the friends she’s had for 20 years are not part of this inspirational circle. Lisa also mentioned that her mom Lois motivates her as well. “I’m inspired by my 92-year-old mom, who’s worn lipstick and won’t go out of the house, by the way, without her makeup. [So] I want this to be all-inclusive. I want men, women, children — everybody! — to use Rinna Beauty.” The dilemma of holiday gift-giving has been saved!

As a self-proclaimed “lip pioneer” (that’s a thing?), this move is a natural transition for Lisa. “I’ve always joked about being the lip pioneer. I’ve always wanted to do something with these lips. I finally feel like we’re getting to do it and have fun and have a sense of humor, and really bring quality items that I just absolutely love, that my heart and soul are in and part of.” You needn’t suffer too long, Rinna Beauty will debut on September 28 and her lip kits will sell for $45 each.
